1. What is the difference between #1 and #2 Topsoil?
#1 Topsoil - Compost enriched blend of sandy loam soil. It is used mainly in vegetable gardens, flower beds and topdressing existing lawns.
#2 Topsoil - Heavier based topsoil used for seeding, sodding and building up low areas.
2. Can you deliver 2 different types of material in one delivery?
Yes. We have trucks equipped with a divider that can deliver 2 types of material. The yardage depends on the type of material being delivered.
3. Can I split a delivery with a neighbour?
Yes. Assuming they are on the same street and within a very close range.
4. How many yards can be delivered in one delivery?
Our fleet of trucks can deliver from 1 yard up to 25 yards.
5. When is the best time to plant my grass seed?
Plant your grass seed in the spring or late summer. Base timing on soil temperatures rather than the calendar. Soil temperatures must be 16-18C for one week for proper germination.
6. What is the difference between Certified and common seed?
Certified seed is tested and graded by accredited experts. It is tested to ensure excellent germination, dark green colour, pest and drought tolerance and much more.
7. Can you load my pickup or trailer?
Yes of course! We love to help.
8. Are you open if it is raining?
Yes! Plus we are the only supplier who can provide you with dry soil all year round.
9. What methods of payment do you accept?
We can accept cash, debit, Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
10. How much topsoil do I need?
First measure the existing area (length x width x depth). Once you have those measurements, you can use our friendly calculator, you can email, or call us.
